Voodoo Dreams Casino Overall Rating: 2.4/5⭐

Verdict: A casino that promises a lot to its customers, but doesn’t quite live up to those promises. Recreational players may be charmed by the fantasy-theme, but matched bettors will find little real value on offer.

Voodoo Dreams Casino's Bonuses & Promotions

We can imagine lots of customers being drawn to Voodoo Dreams by the apparently good value welcome offer and reloads - but the headline claims should be taken with a pinch of salt.

Voodoo Dreams welcome offer: get up to 140 free spins on your first deposit (min £25)

Voodoo Dreams Casino's Welcome Offer

The welcome offer sounds excellent - deposit £25 in order to receive 140 free spins over 7 days (log in each day to receive 20 free spins).

However, the terms and conditions of the offer essentially remove any value from this offer if you’re completing casino offers as part of a Matched Betting strategy:

  • A £100 cap is placed on your winnings from free spins each day.
  • You must wager any winnings from your free spins 10x before they can be withdrawn.
  • Cash funds are used before bonus funds.
  • You cannot withdraw your balance without sacrificing your bonus balance.

This therefore means that you cannot complete your wagering without losing your entire deposit, and if you attempt this offer you’ll be relying on getting lucky with your wagering if you hope to end up in profit. For this reason, we don’t recommend completing this welcome offer as a matched bettor.

Voodoo Dreams Casino's Reload Offers

Again, the reload offers at Voodoo Dreams sound quite good - there’s a whole page of ‘spells’ you can ‘cast’ (bonuses you can redeem) that go all the way to £250 in cash.

You earn ‘spirit points’, that allow you to redeem these bonuses, as you play - but it’ll take an awful lot of play to earn a bonus worth having. You can also take part in Duels, where you challenge other players to see who can have the most success in their normal play, but again the rewards you can earn from this are fairly minor.

One good thing is their cashback offer, which credits you 5% of your net spend from the previous week as cash. You’ll only receive this if you’ve lost overall in a week, though, so again it’s no use for matched bettors.

Design & Navigation

Voodoo Dreams casino homepage

Voodoo Dreams stands out from most other casinos with its fantasy-inspired theme. Rather than the normal layout, with a menu bar, then a promotions banner, then games, they’ve chosen to use a left hand sidebar. This houses account information, magic-inspired special features, and a basic menu allowing you to navigate directly to All Games, Promotions, Tournaments, Help, Sign Out or Responsible Gaming.

On the casino homepage itself, you can browse through the various categories, or alternatively use the search tool, which is very effective, although it doesn’t have any filter features, or the ability to search by provider.

We’d have liked to see an info button on game thumbnails, allowing you to view information (such as RTP, volatility, features, minimum stake) without launching a game, but no such option exists (although features such as jackpots, drops & wins etc are highlighted in the right hand corner of games they appear in).

Customer Support

Unusually, Voodoo Dreams doesn’t have a help centre, although it does have a few links at the bottom of the page to payment method information, bonus terms and of course the general terms and conditions.

If you click the ‘help’ option in the left sidebar, you’re told that live chat is available, but we had no success in locating it when we tried to track it down.

You can email on support-uk@voodoodreams.com at least, so it ought to be possible to resolve any issues you experience.

Mobile Experience

Voodoo Dreams does have an app, but it appears to be available for iPhone only, meaning that Android users will have to make do with the mobile website.

The mobile site is actually laid out rather more conventionally, though, which may mean that players find it easier to use it than the desktop site. At any rate, those who prefer to play on their phones are unlikely to be disappointed.

Voodoo Dreams Casino Game Selection & Quality

Voodoo Dreams casino gameplay: Gold Blitz

Voodoo Dreams boasts an extensive range of games - around 2500 just in slots, with live casino and table and arcade games on top.

You’ll find plenty of the most popular slots, from the Big Bass and Fishin’ frenzy series to Sugar Rush and Gates of Olympus. As for providers, the big names like Blueprint and Pragmatic Play are joined by somewhat smaller outfits, such as SG Gaming and Gamomat.

When it comes to quality, there’s little to complain about. Loading times are perhaps ever so slightly slower than with some other casinos we’ve tested, but otherwise graphics are good and gameplay is smooth.

The range of payment methods available with Voodoo Dreams is excellent, but it’s disappointing that minimum deposits and withdrawals are so high with most payment methods.

More concerningly, Voodoo Dreams also advise the following:

SuprPlay reserves the right to charge an administrative fee should you request a withdrawal without having turned over an amount that is equal to, or more than, the sum of a deposit that has not been staked. Should this fee be charged, it would amount to 5% of the requested withdrawal amount or 5 GBP whichever is higher.

Given their high minimum deposits, this is extremely restrictive and a significant red flag.

Voodoo Dreams Safety & Fairness

Voodoo Dreams is licensed and regulated by the British Gambling Commission, so its operation is certainly legitimate within the UK.

We couldn’t find a Fairness Policy, unfortunately, or any information in the terms and conditions regarding how the outcomes of games are determined. However, the outcome of a game certainly should be determined by a Random Number Generator.

Not much to our surprise, Voodoo Dreams have opted not to protect customer funds, meaning that there is a potential risk to any funds you hold with them if the company becomes insolvent. This isn’t likely, of course, but it’s something to bear in mind.

And finally, the Safer Gambling section isn’t very impressive either - it’s simply a wall of text, little different from the terms and conditions.

Conclusion

Voodoo Dreams looks quite impressive at first glance, with an appealing welcome offer and an interesting theme.

However, matched bettors should be cautious - in our opinion, there isn’t enough potential profit at this casino for it to be worth your time.

There are plenty of other more profitable casinos out there, though, so don’t be disheartened!
