VBet Casino Overall Rating: 4.2/5⭐

Verdict: A casino that will appeal more to recreational players than casino matched bettors, despite a decent welcome offer. We liked its wide range of games and its app in particular, but poor reload offers, awkward navigation and a poor Safer Gambling section let VBet down somewhat.

VBet Casino Bonuses & Promotions

VBet’s welcome offer is a decent one, but the good news stops there, with very little in the way of reload offers to tempt existing customers. Still, if you’re a recreational player you’ll appreciate getting something for nothing from signing up, and casino matched bettors can still take advantage of the expected value held in the welcome offer.

VBet's Casino Welcome Offer

VBet’s welcome offer is what we might think of as a ‘standard’ casino welcome offer - stake £10 on slots to get 50 free spins on Big Bass Bonanza.

There are no wagering requirements, nor any cap on your winnings, and the expected value of the offer is £4.50 - which isn’t huge, but probably enough to tempt casino matched bettors to sign up.

Unfortunately, the good news on the promotions front ends there. There isn’t much in the way of casino reload offers that are worthwhile from an EV perspective, although you can earn free spins each week by staking a certain amount of money:

  • Wager £100 to £399 to receive 25 free spins

  • Wager £400 to £599 to receive 100 free spins

  • Wager £600 or more to receive 150 free spins

There’s also a live casino money back offer, which gives you 5% of your stake back if your losses over a week are more than £20. Of course, this is very unlikely to allow you to end up in profit, so this offer won’t be of interest to those using casino offers as part of their Matched Betting strategy.

VBet Casino User Experience

Design & Navigation

VBet casino homepage

VBet has opted for a striking pink and black colour scheme and a somewhat different layout from many other casinos.

Under the conventional promotional banner and menu bar, the page is split into two, with a provider search tool in a sidebar on the left, and a more general search bar and filter option in the main section on the right, which allows you to divide games up into categories or just see the lot at once.

To be frank, this isn’t a particularly useful system, as the filter categories are identical to the menu bar, but it does make for a somewhat more interesting layout at least.

The ‘i’ button on game thumbnails is also much less helpful than it first appears. Clicking on it brings up almost no useful information at all - only the provider and the option to check if it’s part of any jackpots or tournaments. You’ll therefore have to launch a game to find out any details such as minimum stake, features, paylines, RTP or volatility, making it very difficult to compare games before choosing which to play.

On the bright side, games do load with impressive speediness, and show no sign of any glitches or lag.

Customer Support

The Help Centre is a good one - though it’s surprisingly difficult to locate. By default, the bottom section of the VBet website, which contains boring details like the company registration, links to terms and conditions etc, is hidden until you click an extremely small up arrow to view it.

Once you do so, though, you’ll be able to open up the Help Centre, which is both well-designed and well-organised.

If you still need help, live chat is available 24/7, or alternatively you can email support@vbet.co.uk or call 0203 582 4005 between 5am and 10pm every day.

Mobile Experience

VBet doesn’t have a dedicated casino app, but its combined sports and casino app is available for iPhone and Android.

The casino section’s layout is similar to the websites, minus the filters, which makes for a simpler and more approachable means of navigation, all things considered.

Games aren’t quite as swift to load as on the desktop website, but they won’t keep you hanging around for long and, once loaded, gameplay is smooth and lag-free.

VBet Casino Game Selection & Quality

VBet casino gameplay: 1429 Uncharted Seas

VBet has a wide selection of games on offer, with all your familiar favourites available to play, whether you’re a fan of fishing-themed games, gods, Ancient Egypt or vampires.

The range of developers is also impressive, and particularly clearly displayed thanks to the provider filter in the left sidebar. As well as big names like Evolution, Inspired, NetEnt and Pragmatic, you’ll find smaller developers such as ISoftbet and Novomatic.

Regardless of the developer, all the games we tested performed well, with modern, eye-catching graphics and smooth animation - as we’d expect from any online casino these days.

While not the very widest out there, VBet’s range of payment methods is pretty good, with options to suit most people.

It’s a slight shame that minimum withdrawals are higher than minimum deposits for some payment methods, but there are no withdrawal fees and withdrawals times are extremely speedy, which we love to see.

VBet Casino Safety & Fairness

VBet is licensed and regulated by the British Gambling Commission, meaning that you can be confident it’s operating legitimately in the UK.

Its funds protection meets the Gambling Commission’s definition for ‘medium protection’. This means that your funds are protected to some extent, and in all likelihood would be safe even if VBet were to become insolvent. However, this isn’t completely guaranteed, so there is a small chance that you’d lose any money held by VBet in this situation.

The Safer Gambling section is rather poor, and takes the same form as the terms and conditions, with essentially no effort made to engage customers and actively help them ensure they maintain safe gambling habits.

Conclusion

As a casino for recreational players with little interest in a consistent profit-making strategy, VBet performs fairly well, with a wide range of games and a good app.

But for anyone applying a methodical approach to casino offers as part of a Matched Betting strategy, VBet will be something of a disappointment, though its welcome offer does hold reasonable expected value.
